The principal clinical branch of Ayurveda dealing with Internal Medicine, diagnostic methodologies, systemic therapeutics, and emergency care.

Ayurvedic Internal Medicine

Kaya Chikitsa is the principal clinical branch of Ayurveda that deals with Internal Medicine. The department focuses on the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of systemic diseases using classical Ayurvedic principles.

Students are trained in understanding disease pathology, patient examination, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions. The department covers a wide range of disorders affecting various body systems, including metabolic, digestive, respiratory, neurological, and lifestyle-related diseases.

Clinical training is provided through outpatient departments, inpatient wards, and specialty clinics. Students gain practical experience in patient care, case presentations, and evidence-based Ayurvedic treatment approaches.

The department serves as the backbone of Ayurvedic clinical education and prepares students for independent medical practice and advanced clinical research.
