Pediatrics & Child Healthcare

Kaumarbhritya is the branch of Ayurveda devoted to Pediatrics and Child Healthcare. The department focuses on the growth, development, nutrition, prevention, and management of diseases in infants, children, and adolescents.

Students learn about neonatal care, breastfeeding, immunization, developmental milestones, nutritional requirements, and pediatric disorders. The department emphasizes preventive healthcare and early intervention for childhood illnesses.

Clinical exposure enables students to understand the unique healthcare needs of children and develop skills for pediatric diagnosis and management. Ayurvedic principles of child healthcare are integrated with contemporary pediatric practices. The department contributes to the promotion of healthy childhood development and preventive pediatric healthcare.
