Agad Tantra & Vyavahara Ayurveda
Exploring toxicology, forensic medicine, and medical jurisprudence to build ethical, legally-aware, and responsible medical practitioners.
Toxicology & Medical Jurisprudence
Agad Tantra & Vyavahara Ayurveda is the branch of Ayurveda that deals with Toxicology, Forensic Medicine, and Medical Jurisprudence. The department provides comprehensive knowledge about poisons, toxic substances, poisoning management, medico-legal investigations, and legal responsibilities of medical practitioners.
Students study natural, artificial, animal, plant, and chemical poisons along with their diagnosis and treatment. The department also covers forensic aspects such as postmortem examination, injury assessment, legal documentation, and medical ethics.
Practical exposure is provided through forensic demonstrations, medico-legal case studies, and visits to forensic laboratories whenever applicable.
